People’s Credit Union’s Senior Marketing Specialist, Jessica Holden, has been selected as a “Crasher” for the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C. beginning February 27th. As a GAC Crasher, Holden was one of a select few emerging leaders chosen from across 47 states to attend the conference where she will join other “Crashers” to be immersed in credit union advocacy, culture, and the passion in making their voice count during the week long conference. The Filene Research Institute’s Cooperative Trust “Crash” Program is designed to empower credit union young professionals through career development and by finding and amplifying their voices to advocate for the role of young people in the industry. Holden joined People’s Credit Union in 2016, advancing to her current role as Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist in 2021.
“Choosing Jess Holden as a ‘Crasher’ on behalf of People’s Credit Union at the Governmental Affairs Conference is a well-deserved honor for Jess. Since joining People’s, she has exhibited great initiative as an advocate for the Credit Union’s core values and for credit unions in general,” stated Sean Daly, President and Chief Executive Officer for People’s Credit Union.
“The Cooperative Trust is thrilled to welcome a new group of emerging leaders to Crash the GAC in 2022,” said Filene’s Community Development Director, Cortney Angeley. “This group of rising professionals are change leaders in our industry and it’s an honor to witness the evolution of leadership and culture taking place. We know these Crashers will bring spirit, passion, and hopefully a little bit of good fun and disruption to CUNA GAC.”
