Youth & Teen Accounts
It is never too early to get started on the path to financial literacy. Instilling the value of money at an early age helps start a lifelong habit of financial responsibility.
The easiest and most convenient way to start putting away your money.
Establish a membership at and ownership in People's Credit Union by opening a Basic Savings Account.
The Basic Savings Account requires $5 to open. You earn interest and pay no monthly service charge. Within the guidelines of savings regulations, you may make up to six withdrawals per statement period.*
*Transactions Limitations: During any statement period, you may not make more than six withdrawals or transfers to another credit union account of yours or a third party by means of pre-authorized, automatic, or computer transfer or telephonic order or instruction, or by check, draft, debit card (if applicable), or similar order to a third party. Any transactions in excess of the transaction limitation may be blocked. This means any excessive transfers or items presented for payment may be returned unpaid and a notification will be sent to you.
