What can we help you with today?

If you are not currently a member, you can request to open a single ownership personal (checking or savings) account through our website. Please choose the account you want to open from the appropriate product page. This process can take a few business days to review and complete, and the account must be funded electronically with your existing deposit account at your current financial institution.

The People’s CU mobile app can be downloaded via the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.

To sign up for direct deposit, contact your employer/the payer and provide them with your account number and our routing number (211573151). Some employers may request a direct deposit request form which we can provide to you upon request. This form is not required by us to receive a direct deposit initiated by your employer.

People’s Credit Union’s Routing number/ABA number is 211573151 and it can also be found at the bottom of our website. Our routing number is the same for ACH transfers, checks, and wires.

To re-order checks you would sign in to your online banking profile and select “Reorder Checks” under the “Services & Tools” header. You can also visit any branch location or call our Member Service Center at 800.498.8930.

To change your address or other contact information, you would first access the “Settings” within your online banking profile after logging in. Next, you would select the “Contact” tab. On this screen you can update your address, phone number, and email address.

To close your deposit account, you can visit any branch location during business hours to proceed with this request.

If you are unable to visit a branch location, you can send a letter to our Main Office at 858 W. Main Rd, Middletown, RI 02842 with a written and signed request to close your account. Please include the desired account number in the letter along with address information to which to send a check with any remaining balance.

Alternatively, if you are unable to visit a branch location you can send a message through your online banking ™ profile after securely signing-in with your credentials to request that we close the desired account.

To open a new deposit account, simply visit one of our conveniently located branches and meet with one of our member service representatives.

If you are already an existing member, you can open an additional single ownership personal (checking or savings) account through your online banking profile within the “Open an Account” tab. This new account must be funded from one of your existing People’s Credit Union accounts.

If you are not currently a member, you can request to open a single ownership personal (checking or savings) account through our website. To remove a signer from your account you can visit us at one of our six convenient locations.

A signer can only be removed from a joint personal account in the event the signer has passed away. We must be provided with an original death certificate to proceed with this request.

If you are seeking to remove a joint owner/signer from a personal account other than in the above scenario, the account must be closed and a new account opened. This is to ensure that the removed owner/signer no longer has access to the account number, checks, or other access devices.

Business members may add or remove authorized signers as needed with proper documentation.

To enroll in electronic statements, you would sign into your online banking profile on a desktop or laptop to access the full site. Once logged in, you would navigate to the “Accounts” header and select “Statements & eDocuments”. Once on that page, you would select the desired account and follow the prompts to enroll in estatements.

You can view your account balance/s by signing into your online banking profile through our website or through the PCU mobile app. To view account activity, click on the desired account to view recent activity. You can filter by date range to see previous activity.

To access your full account number from your online banking profile on the full desktop site, you would log in and click the desired account from the landing page. Once you are able to view that account’s activity, you would click the eye icon near the last four of the account number. The full account number will then be displayed. To access your full account number from the mobile app, you would log in and click the desired account from the landing page. Once you are able to view that account’s activity, you would click the “Account Details” tab and then click the eye icon near the last four of the account number. The full account number would then be displayed.
