Your Privacy at People’s Credit UnionYou can be confident that financial privacy is a top priority at People’s Credit Union. We are committed to protecting the information you provide to us. This notice describes how we protect the privacy of your personal information.

- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms (for example, name, address and telephone number).

- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency (for example, a credit rating).
Information That We Disclose:We are permitted by law to disclose certain information which we collect, without your prior permission, to third parties who perform marketing services (for example, the preparation of promotional or marketing materials) on our behalf, such as your name and address.
We are also permitted by law to disclose certain information which we collect to financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements, such as your name and address. The types of businesses with whom we may disclose such nonpublic personal information pursuant to such joint marketing agreements include financial service providers, such as insurance companies and financial institutions.
We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to third parties in order to complete your transactions, to assist us in servicing your loan or processing your accounts, to respond to court orders or subpoenas from government authorities, and to report your loan accounts to consumer reporting agencies. We may also, for example, share information with our auditors, legal counsel and regulatory agencies. You do not have a right to prevent such disclosure of this information.
Former Customers:If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive member, we will follow the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.
Securing Your Information:The security of information you provide to us is very important. We have designed policies and procedures to restrict access to your information to employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you. We have designed a program to maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
How You Can Help Protect Your Information:We would like to offer some suggestions to help you protect your financial information:
- Protect account and card numbers, personal identification numbers and passwords.
- Keep items with personal information in a safe place.
- Use caution when disclosing your account numbers and social security numbers to other persons. Only give your social security number when it is absolutely necessary.
- Keep your information with People's Credit Union current. It is important that we have current information on how to reach you.
